WALNUT RIDGE FARM - Farm Facilities

Barn:

A new barn, constructed in 2008, located well back from the main road, is outfitted with 10’ X 12’ stalls lined with Stable Comfort flooring. Flush with plenty of natural lighting, the barn is situated to take advantage of prevailing crosswind ventilation and equipped with additional mechanical ventilation to control humidity and maximize air quality - critical to preventative health.

Paddocks:

With 10 paddocks plus a large weanling/yearling pasture, Walnut Ridge Farm boasts superior paddock to stall ratios allowing generous turn-out time, while maintaining good grazing through paddock rotation and grass management. The 12-acre weanling/yearling pasture is equipped with a Run-In Shed and situated in close proximity to the barn for management and monitoring during winter. All paddocks and pastures are protected by horse friendly Flex Fence and high-visibility electric rope for increased security, and supplied with heated water during winter turn-out.

Round Ring and Conditioning Path:

A 60-foot round ring for starting young horses and initial turnout adaptation, plus a tree-lined conditioning path around paddocks and pastures, provides ample controlled exercise for both mature and developing racehorses.
